COOL HOLLOW FLOWER FARM

In this time of social distancing and quarantine, we hope our flowers can brighten your lives this spring! Mason jar bouquets will be available for pickup at a food CSA pickup location east of Hagerstown in the Beaver Creek area on Tuesdays from noon to 8pm.
Orders may be place with an email to by 5pm on Mondays. This week's availability is mixed daffodils (yellow, white, pink), hellebores (white & antique pink shades), white quince branches or bright yellow forsythia branches. Please specify in your email which you would prefer and how many of each. Each bouquet is $10 and we ask that the jars be returned upon your next pickup. Tulips and lilacs will be available very soon!
If you stopped by our flower stand over the summer you will recognize the pick-up location as the farm just across the street!
Due to social distancing measures there will not be anyone present to assist with pickups.
Thank you to Dave Elliott at Blue Mountain Farm for allowing us to add on to their farm CSA drop-off location. If you are interested in being a CSA customer please contact him at to be added to his customer information list. There are limited shares available. There will also be a vegetable plant vendor, so be sure to look for her plants and feel free to ask for more information.
Each vendor will have their own box/basket/container for payment, so please be sure to put the payment in the appropriate location. Thank you so much!
The address of the pickup location will be emailed to you once an order is placed.
The farm is waking up from its winter sleep and spring is sprouting up everywhere. The forsythia are in bloom and narcissus are ready to cut. Tulips are not far behind. We are busy planting and planning for the growing season.
With the extraordinary circumstances of the last few weeks we are unsure what markets will be open or just how to get our flowers to customers this year, but please be assured that the flowers will be here and are available as a local product to our community should they be needed.
We hope to join a nearby drop-off location of a local food CSA (very close to our flower stand location here in Beaver Creek). Please check back for more information and feel free to email me if you have interest in a weekly CSA of flowers. The cost would be $10 per week, delivered in a mason jar which would be returned and exchanged for a new jar each week. I'm trying to discover what the level of interest is. Thank you!!
Although our farm is not open to the public, we welcome customers by special appointment and to pick up previously ordered flowers and native plants. Thank you to all of our wonderful customers from last year's farm stand and at the Valley Co-op.
At present our availability from the farm is fairly limited. We are still picking beautiful baby eucalyptus out of the hoophouse. White quince and forsythia is ready to pick at almost any length and can be held in the cooler. Heirloom narcissus and yellow daffodils are in full bloom. The hellebores are wonderful this year and available in large quantities. We have been experimenting with methods to get them to last and have been having tremendous success! Using our techniques we have found that they last at least a week in the vase--and some last longer.
We've tucked in thousands of premium tulips, including many double and parrot tulips in gorgeous soft and sultry colors, as well as many other bulbs for the spring (stately tall allium) and will let our customers know when they are nearly ready. White crabapple branches will be available in a few weeks.
We are happy to work with you to fill your floral needs. Our flowers are fresh, locally grown, and grown with care for you and the environment.
