Summer is here!

Summer arrived a few days ago and that means that zinnias, sunflowers, snapdragons, and many other of our favorite summer flowers are about to start blooming.  The spring flowers are finished and dug up and the flower fields here at Cool Hollow Flower Farm have all been planted and the first zinnia has been spotted--this means that buckets full cannot be far behind.  We've planted about fifteen varieties of zinnias this year, including our favorites: Queen Lime Red, Queen Lime Orange, Oklahoma Salmon and Salmon Queen.  The first planting of sunflowers are up to my shoulder and should start blooming in a week or two.  And the Lisianthus--well, if they bloom at all like they did last year we should have a cooler full of them in about a month.  We've tried out some of the new types brought over from Japan this year and are very excited to see what they look like. If you've never seen one just wait--they are amazing.

We sell our bouquets of specialty flowers, grown on our family farm with loving care and using sustainable methods, in the Hagerstown, MD area. Currently all sales are through this website in the "shop" section. To access the shop you will need to sign up to be on our email list to receive the password--there is a prompt when you enter the "shop" area.  Mason jar bouquets of specialty mixed flowers are available during the spring and summer for weekly pick up at a location east of Hagerstown, MD, in the Beaver Creek area.  Please check out the "shop" section, sign up for our emails and find out more about our flowers.

Our email list is not shared with anyone and we will use it only occasionally to update you about what we are doing on the farm.  If you buy a bouquet subscription you will receive a weekly email reminder and some information about weekly bouquets.

We will continue to offer our mason jar bouquets at the springhouse on Tuesdays. Please check out our shop to purchase them and feel free to follow us on Instagram for more information and pictures of bouquets and flowers.  Summer subscriptions are still available and will begin in July.

As always, our flowers are fresh, locally grown, and grown with care for you and the environment.
